Points Our Students Who Have Completed Their 14th Semester Should Keep in Mind

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS COMPLETING THEIR 14TH SEMESTER

Check your semester status on your transcript. Class / Semester: 4 / 14

Check your curriculum status. Count the courses you have remaining for graduation (including internships).

If you have 6 or more failed courses, courses you have never taken, or internships,

You are in the supplementary exam period. In this case, you cannot select courses for the Fall semester of the 2026–2027 academic year;

Please follow the announcements at https://ogi.yildiz.edu.tr. You can apply through the Student Information System to take advantage of your supplementary exam rights.

You are granted 2 additional exam attempts for each course (failed or never-taken courses).

The goal is to reduce the number of failed or never-taken courses—including internships—to (5-4-3-2-1) by the end of the additional exams.

If, as a result of the make-up exams, the number of failed or never-taken courses—including internships—is 6 or more, your registration will be canceled.

If, following the make-up exams, the number of failed or un-enrolled courses, including internships, falls within the range of (5-4-3-2-1), a three-semester extension will be granted.

At the end of the three-semester extension, students with more than one failed course (including internships) will have their registration canceled.

If the number of failed courses, courses you have never taken, and internships combined is 5 or fewer (5-4-3-2-1),

You are now in the make-up exam or extension period. In this case, you may apply for a make-up exam or select courses. You cannot do both at the same time.

You may use either a makeup exam plus 3 credit hours of extension or 4 credit hours of extension directly. The makeup exam process is conducted as described above.

If you are about to graduate or have only your internship remaining, you do not need to track your supplementary exam status.
